Meet Our Pastor, the Rev. Sanette Francis
Rev. Sanette Francis or, Pastor Sanette, was born in Manchester on the beautiful West Indian island of Jamaica, where her educational and faith foundation was formed. She shared that the saying is very much true in Jamaica that, “it takes a village to raise a child.” Pastor Sanette's parents were very much instrumental in raising her to be a strong woman with honorable virtues. However, it was her communities in partnership with her parents, who, holding fast to their accountability to children, enforced the values and standards taught at home.

At 17 years of age, Pastor Sanette began attending the John Hus Moravian Church where she later became a member. It was at John Hus where she was further nurtured in the faith and was born again about the age of 19. Her nurturing came from a caring pastor, Rev. Michael Johnson, sisters in the faith, many mothers, grandmothers, uncles, aunts, and brothers in the faith. As Pastor Sanette continued to grow in faith via learning to discern Christ voice through the study of His Word, she began to feel God's call to ministry. "I ran away for about two years, but one can only run so far from the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Almighty God," said Pastor Sanette.
Eventually she surrendered to Christ call on her life. However, Pastor Sanette felt she needed to learn more. As a result she enrolled at Laurel University, a small Christian university in High Point, North Carolina. After three years, she graduated with Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Pastoral Ministry ( December 2011), Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biblical Studies (December 2011), with a Honorary Standard and Graduate Teacher Diploma in Biblical Evangelism from the Evangelical Training Association in partnership with Laurel University (May 2012). Additionally, as of December 2014, Pastor Sanette completed her course of study in the Masters of Divinity program at the Moravian Theological Seminary, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Finally, Pastor Sanette has a zeal for the Word of God, and an equal passion for teaching and equipping the Body of Jesus Christ to first: rightly diving His Word in order to be able to discern His voice a midst a sea of voices some of which are masquerading as messengers of God. Secondly, she has a passion for walking alongside believers as they live into Christ will and call on their lives. With that, she looks forward, each day, to learning together, growing together, and sharing together with her Ebenezer family in preparation to take the Gospel of Christ to our community, the nation and the utter most parts of the world. Pastor Sanette is always seeking to be about the Will of our Father in Jesus Christ.
P.S. In a world of shifting morals, virtues, and authority on right and wrong, Pastor Sanette stand's firm on the word from Joshua 24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
